REFLECTION 2

CHANGES ...

People change for two reasons: Either they learned a lot or they've been hurt too much. Based on my experience, this second grading period is the most challenging enjoying part of my ICT subject.

Many things happened that was memorable to me on my computer subject these past few days. Clinginess with my classmates in computer laboratory is one. I also encountered some problems on my computer subject same thing on the first grading period. Problems about blogging and posting activities because these past few days, I always excused on my class because of the CT Meet and luckily, I was one of the player. With that, I only have few days to finish all my requirements.

I learned that, even the hardest times in our life, we must fight whatever it is. Because in order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

INTRAMURALS 2K14

Intramurals are fun, recreational, social and competitive on-campus sports activities. Intramurals is a great opportunity for us to have some fun and to try that new sport we've always wanted to learn. It is also about participation, interaction, and staying active and having fun. The sports offered are organized for friendly, fun competition and are not meant to be as competitive as Varsity sports.

In Ilocos Sur National High School where we always have intramural every year, I always joined this kind of activity and I also feel confident and I was so lucky because every time, I always won under chess game in the intramurals in our school. In the first place, I enjoyed having this kind of activity every year because I also learned some lessons and one is that think positive every time.

MY TEACHER, MY HERO

Teachers were the ones that most influenced us what we are today. For me, the word teacher stands for the one who teach us, encourage us, inspire us, care for us, help us, enhance us and reminds us who we are and what we are.

In my 15 years existence in life, I considered my teachers as my second parent. Because they are the one who thought me that nothing is impossible. They are the one who thought me to be strong in times of failures and never give up the things I wanted most in life. And those are my dreams. During those days, I am extremely inspired to write to the fullest. All students are inspired and one of the reasons is our teachers. In every situation I encounter, I do things for my safety because I learn from them to be productive, aggressive and to become active for everything that I encounter. I am proud to say that they are beautiful inside and out. The personality and even their attitudes. I am proud to tell of you that I learned so much about them and about life. And I am very thankful to have wonderful teachers like them. I am enlightened to do the job what I must do and be responsible every time. I didn't even think that these teachers would change my life. And that’s how important they are.

All teachers can be a hero if they have determination, patience, courage and dedication to work that can really inspire students. A hero is not only famous and seen on television because you can be a hero on your simple way.

SCIENCE CLUB MONTH CELEBRATION

Immunation: Arming Science Clubbers with Healthful defenses towards National Wellness

Every month of September, we always celebrate the Science Month like the other months that we also celebrated. In this year, we have the theme, “Immunation: Arming Science Clubbers with Healthful defenses towards National Wellness.”
Health is real wealth. A healthy person is an asset to himself. In this theme, we are talking about our healthiness and on how to prevent diseases. And we all know that it is very good to be healthy. Health is a big and many-sided area of human life. I think that among all questions related to the human's body, the health must overcome all other aspects and become the main reference point for finding the answers.
Our goal on this is on how to prevent from illness and to know that prevention is always better than to cure. As for that, we need to have a plan for our community. We should prevent Global warming and Climate change to our world.

MY MODERN HERO

Every one of us has its own hero. Sometimes our hero is our parents, friends, or love ones. There are people who mean a lot to them, but every once in a while is someone even more unique comes along. This is a person who you can call a “hero”. A hero is someone who has made a difference in our life or who always at our side no matter how hard the problems we are facing. My hero is my mother and there is definitely no question about it.
There are many reasons why my mother is my hero but here are just few of them to mention. My mother knows that she’s not perfect. She cannot give everything I wanted to have but she is trying to provide my necessities and to be a better mother at all. She is my hero for multiple reasons, but what I admire most to her is on how to drive to be successful in everything she does. My mother is always here for me. She knew how to kiss all my aches and pains and make her feel better or even go away. She helped me with my school work many times no matter how busy she might have been. Her every undertaking is done to the best of her ability, even when it is already “good enough.” When I was a problem, she is always willing and patient to listen to me like my best friend. I open to her some of my secrets because I have a trust to her and she has never done wrong in my eyes. But there are times that we have that arguments because of misunderstanding almost every day, but I am so proud to say that, it makes me feel good to know that she never gave up on me. I can’t explain how lucky I am to have an almost perfect mother that means a lot to me. She is a very caring person and she provided me and my brother all important things we have needed even in hard times in order to succeed. She is my role model and she has always been there for me. I want to be more like my hero or my mother because she inspires me get better and to work hard for what I want.

A hero to me is someone who you look up to, someone that you can model yourself after. And this person to me is my mother, “my hero”. Aside from her hard work and striving for excellence in everything she does, she is an awesome mother at all.

MY REFLECTION

Another chapter of my life has already been started, my senior life and it was the hardest part.

During the first meeting, I enjoyed and learned a lot. I gained a lot of knowledge because first of all, computer subject or ICT is my second favorite subject at all. I have learned all about the nature of internet and of course the people behind the development of this.

But as I go on, I have encountered problems and challenges in constructing my posts. And I know that this said subject is more challenging than other. Because sometimes, there are some problems that is hard to solve like on how to blog our activities. And I admit that, blogging activities is hard for me but more on how to answer those activities.

For the next last three grading, I promise to myself that I will focus more on my studies and I hope that this subject will be always good to me. I hope that I will learn more interesting topics regarding my subject ICT.

REACTION: STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS 2014

5TH STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS OF THE PRESIDENT

Philippine President Benigno Simeon Aquino successfully delivered his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 28 at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City. He discussed matters regarding the country’s economy, defenses, public works, education, and many more.

For five consecutive years, Aquino used Filipino language for the delivery of his 5th SONA.  "The Filipino is definitely worth fighting for." This message was mentioned by our President during his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) in front of the Philippine Senate and House of Representatives in Batasan Complex, Quezon City last July 28, 2014. In his talk, the government meant well. There was no admission of any major problems in the system, and nothing about what is eating the country from the inside and out: Corruption. All of the funds, according to the president, went to the places they are supposed to go. There are new fighter jets, helicopters and a landing ship. There are also new weaponry and arsenal for soldiers and police officers alike.  Respondents and relief workers were quick during disaster situations. The education has been widespread all over the country that our natives are now sent to school. This administration deserves a lot of credit for what it has done for the country. It is now at investment rate, the economy is flourishing, and there are no bloody conflicts or horrendous kidnappings. Plans for road development and improvements, housing, schools, and other infrastructure are underway. The president’s SONA is full of metaphors; at some point he was the captain on a ship, ferrying the Filipino people from an island of corruption to an island of flourishing beauty. It’s all so dreamy – he discussed mainly the beauty of what is on the surface, but not what is rotting at the core.

It is all very superficial. Despite the improvements, there are matters deep in the crevices of the system greatly affecting the country that have been left unmentioned. There are many comparisons between his administration and the old, and most of all, there is lot of spite expressed from his attackers. We appreciate the positivity and the improvements but sheer avoidance of more pressing matters is not a development in any form.
